Data Storage

All data is stored locally using Chrome's storage API, specifically:

• Any categories you've created to organize your snippets
• Extension preferences and settings

This data persists across browser sessions and is synchronized across your devices if you have Chrome Sync enabled for extensions.

Import/Export Feature

The extension provides an import/export feature that allows you to:

• Export your snippets to a local file for backup purposes
• Import snippets from a previously exported file

When you use these features, data transfer happens directly between the extension and your local device. No data is sent to or through our servers during this process.

Permissions

Snippet Master requires the following Chrome permissions:

• Storage: To save your snippets and extension preferences locally
• Content Scripts: To detect when you type a shortcut and replace it with your saved text

These permissions are used solely for the functionality of the extension and not for data collection purposes.

Data Security
